Kalea was founded in Salzburg, Austria, in 2010 and has grown into a leading provider of beer gift products and tasting boxes. Working closely with independent breweries from Germany and Austria, Kalea brings authentic brewing culture to a broad international audience through innovative and attractive product concepts.

The undisputed highlight of the Kalea range is the Beer Advent Calendar. What started as a new idea in 2010 has developed into an internationally successful product. Today, Kalea Beer Advent Calendars are sold not only in Germany and Austria, but also across Europe and in international markets such as the United States, Japan and Taiwan.

Another successful concept is the “Men’s Handbag” – a distinctive gift pack containing 12 selected bottles or cans of beer. It has become one of Kalea’s signature products, particularly for Father’s Day and other gifting occasions.

Kalea works with some of the world’s best-known retailers, including ALDI, Lidl and Costco, as well as numerous other leading retail partners.

From Beer Gifts to Brewing

Two years ago, Kalea took an important next step by acquiring Privatbrauerei ETTL, a traditional Bavarian brewery with more than 480 years of brewing history. This combines Kalea’s expertise in innovative beer concepts, gifting and international retail with authentic German brewing tradition.

The brewery also operates its own canning line, giving Kalea a high degree of flexibility. Cans can be designed, printed and filled specifically for individual markets, allowing products and packaging to be adapted to the requirements of different countries and retail partners.
